Porn DVD Review: Kill Girl Kill 2

I’ve been doing these reviews for a while and in reviewing movies, it’s still kind of hard to not let my personal preferences affect my objective review. Up until now, I think I’ve done very well in not letting my own personal standards on what is pretty in a woman (for example) not affect how I rate a DVD. At some point I might let my attraction - or lack thereof - for the women in a DVD color my judgment. (After all, I’m only human like any other reviewer. :)) And this might be the day that that happens...

Kill Girl Kill 2 is a gonzo production, and it consists of 5 scenes featuring women that represent the Goth subculture. All of the women are au naturel (meaning that none of them bear breast implants). And to tell you the truth, if given a choice between a DVD full of “natural” women and a DVD full of women with implants, I would choose - and I know a lot of men would not agree with me on this - the former.

Now I’d be the first person to admit that Goth girls are not my bag, and I am not attracted to the dark makeup, shiny black leather outfits, piercings, and extensive tattoos that are a hallmark of the subculture. And the intro music (which kicks in upon the opening of each sex act), too, in Kill Girl Kill 2 - not my kind of music. And in a lot of cases it isn’t even music. In those cases, the sound consists of random electric chords and (what sounded like) electric feedback, which is all jarring to my ears. But I appreciate the fact that the production editors have the presence of mind and decency to cut the music altogether (and not let it linger in the background) relatively quickly when each sex couple starts to get hot and heavy.

And I’ve said this in the past concerning background and intro music I’ve heard that I’ve actually liked. It’s just plain common courtesy to the people who are watching who don’t like that kind of music (after all, no one comes to a skin flick for the music in the first place. It‘s just kind of thrust upon one whether one likes it or not.). Besides, I prefer to hear natural love-making sounds - heavy breathing, kissing slurps, smacking of flesh-on-flesh, moaning, etc. - anyway.

Yet with all of my pre-conceived biases out in the open and acknowledged, I (and I’m sure a lot of you would feel the same way if you were to watch ) still found it very hard to sit through the first scene. A girl simply known as Deja appears to be - or at least that’s the impression that the producers were trying to create - strung out on some mood-altering substance. The first shot we have of her is her sitting on a couch trying to stymie a nose-bleed. The next thing I knew, she’s closely examining a painting depicting Jesus.

That pretty much did it for me: I was pretty much sold at that point that I wasn‘t going to like the rest of the scene, and the scene didn’t disappoint in that respect. I didn’t prefer the girl‘s look; I didn’t like the fact that she was supposed to be (or actually was) on something (call me crazy, but I like viewing women having sex while they’re lucid and not drunk or high); and at the end of the scene after the comshot, she thanks Jesus for the sex she just had. WTF?!

The second episode is a HUGE improvement. It features this pretty young little Asian girl named - and how appropriate is this name? - Yumy. The guy in the scene pretty much fingers and eats her cute pussy (yummy indeed) good and proper, and then takes her brutally doggy-style. And she seems to enjoy every single moment of it. (But that’s not very surprising: we all know that Asian girls in this society love their white guys. :)) In this scene, the guy is much more the alternative-lifestyle representative; he is the one pretty much covered from head to toe in tats (to those who know him, think Spyder Jonez).

I’m on the fence about the third scene, there’s just something I didn’t like about it. I definitely didn‘t like their looks (and I know I‘ve probably rehashed this point to death, and will continue to do so ad nauseam. Forgive me for that…) nor their sense of fashion, but it was more than that. There just seemed to be no energy to the scene.

The scene is between two girls Justine Joli and Jade Starr. It starts slow which is what you would expect for a typical lesbian tryst. But it never seems to pick up any momentum. Sure the dildos and vibrators come out and they smile often enough, but it seems like their hearts are not in it. This scene is a big disappointment to me coming off the last one.

And I just found out that this particular scene of Kill Girl Kill 2 is nominated for a 2006 AVN Award in the category of Best All-Girl Sex Scene in a Video. I don’t get it. I guess I just prefer my scenes with more energy.

The fourth scene, in my view, is very decent. The girl - Zoe Matthews - is very cute, behind all the Goth get-up (again, that’s just my personal view coming through) , and there’s just more energy to the sex here. Interestingly , as much as I like this scene there’s really not that much to say about it. Even though there’s no anal here, I feel that the scene is solid: short and to the point.

Jezebelle Bond is featured in the last scene, and (again) she’s not my type, but she looks like she’s having fun here. The set-up (I.e. background) is interesting to say the least. And she seems to have good chemistry with the guy. This might be the best episode (along with the Yumy sexcapade) of the bunch.

Taking the whole Kill Girl Kill 2 DVD in stock, there’s no lack of anal . As a matter of fact 3 of the 4 boy-girl scenes have anal. So based on the fact that the viewer pretty much gets what he’s expecting going in (if said viewer knows that this is a SuicideGirls - esque presentation), and despite the fact that two-fifths of the film is found lacking in my opinion, Kill Girl Kill 2 is not terrible. If you’re into the Goth look, fashion, and general way of life, the DVD is worth your time.

I wish I could say the same for the very short scene that occurs after the credits roll. I really could have done without that...
