Inside Deep Throat
Our Video-on-Demand content suppliers, AEBN, recently acquired 13 new studios. So look for more diverse movies in our adult payperview theater. AEBN does a great job when it comes to acquiring content; I believe they're the leading online provider of streaming, downloadable videos. Good luck, though, getting through to customer service by phone or via e-mail….
Inside Deep Throat, a documentary, will be in theatres next Friday. In select cities, it’s going to be running side-by-side with the original movie that it documents as a double feature. Deep Throat was released in 1972 and is, of course, the adult classic to end all adult classics. I’ve yet to see it. From what I’ve read, I glean that even though it was an interesting film in its own right, the furor surrounding the film has contributed to its legendary status.
Linda Lovelace passed away in 2002 (God rest her soul). I’d heard about all she’d gone through, and I took it upon myself to do a little research on her. I don’t mind the fact that Ms Lovelace publicly regretted doing the film along with her other pornographic material. In her autobiography, she recounted ghastly experiences that no one should have been subjected to. If her allegations were true, I feel for her tremendously. However, I would have had a problem if she had denounced porn as a whole as being evil and a scourge on humanity, etc. You know, the typical, pat, anti-porn rallying cry. I don’t know exactly what she said in front of the Meese Commision when she testified in their hearing on pornography, but it couldn’t have been good.
